Blueberry Muffins, Aunt Dorothy Wieliczko's image

This was Grandma W's sister in law, and she made these muffins since Grandpa W liked them so much. Thank goodness she shared the recipe! The hubby likes Blueberry Muffins about as much as Grandpa did!

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 c flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 c milk
6 Tbsp shortening, melted
1 c blueberries
1 Tbsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Sift together flour, powder, salt and 1/4 c sugar. Combine egg, milk and shortening and add all at once to flour mixture. Stir until dry ingredients are moist but still lumpy. Fold in blueberries. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake at 400 degrees about 25 min.
