3/4 cup softened butter
2 cups sugar
3 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 3/4 cups washed and stemmed fresh blueberries
2/3 cup chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar

These bars were a little too tart for my taste, but I think that's just because I used frozen blueberries. I'll try using fresh blueberries next time.

I love the crumbly topping on these bars. It adds a nice texture contrast to the soft cake.

These bars were a bit dry, but the flavor was good. I think I'll try adding some extra butter or oil next time.

These bars were a little too sweet for my taste, but they were still good. I think I'll try making them with less sugar next time.
