Steps:
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Cream butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar to butter, creaming after each addition. Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Combine milk and extract(s). Add sifted ingredients alternately with bilk, beginning and ending with sifted ingredients (5 additions, mixing at low speed). Pour into well buttered,floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake for 1 hr and 20 min., or until sides of cake pull away from the sides of the pan, and a finger pressed gently on the surface leaves a slight print which gradually vanishes. Cool cake in pan for 10 min. then turn out on cake rack to cool at room temperature.
