Blake found this recipe In a Smuckers site. Of corse we had to change things. It did not last very long at all. Blake did an outstanding job with this.

2 box black cherry jello
1 can(s) cola
1 1/4 c crushed pretzels
1/2 c pistachio nuts, chopped
1 jar(s) smuckers fruit topping.
1 1/2 stick butter
3 c whipped topping
1 c cheerys,chopped
2 1/2 c whipped topping, thawed
2 tsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Pre heat oven to 375. In a mixing bowl. add crushed pretzelis,chopped nuts,2 teaspoons sugar, and 1-1/2 sticks of melted butter. Mix untill moist. In an 8x8 bakeing dish put moistened mix in press evenly with some on the sides. Bake in oven for 15-20 min.
  • 2. While crust is baking.Pour 1 can of cola in a sauce pan,heat till boiling. In another mixing bowl Add 2 packegs of jello. After cola starts to boil,aqdd to jello. stir till completly desolved. Stir in fruit topping and cherrys. Chill for 15-20 min Untillslightly thickend.
  • 3. Once the crust has been taken out of the oven Let cool for 15 min, In a mixing bowl take 1-1/4 cup of whipped topping and add 1/2 cup jello mixstir till blended. Spread over crust,chill 10-15 min. Spoon remaning jello over whipped topping,then top with whipped topping. Chill 15-20 min...Injoy!!!! This will not last long.
