Blackened Chicken image

Simple, quick, and delicious! Around our house, I am the only one who likes chicken, but everyone willingly eats this chicken!

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp oregano, dried
3/4 tsp thyme, dried
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp butter, melted
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Steps:

  • 1. In small bowl, combine first 8 ingredients, set aside.
  • 2. Place chicken breasts between sheets of plastic wrap (or in a large plastic food storage bag), and pound to even the thickness (about 1/2 inch or a little less).
  • 3. Brush one side of chicken breasts with half of the melted butter and sprinkle with half the seasoning mixture. Repeat on other side of chicken breasts.
  • 4. Heat a large skillet over med-high heat. Cook chicken about 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
