BISQUICK PEACH COBBLER image

According to Bisquick, 13 Apr is National Peach Cobbler Day, who knew?

1 can(s) peach pie filling (21 oz can)
2 c frozen sliced peaches, thawed
1 c original bisquick mix
1 Tbsp sugar
1/4 c milk
1 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened
additional sugar, if desired
ground nutmeg, if desired

Steps:

  • 1. In ungreased 8-inch square pan, spread pie filling and sliced peaches; place in cold oven. Heat oven to 400°F; let pie filling and peaches heat 10 minutes.
  • 2. Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix Bisquick mix, 1 tablespoon sugar, the milk and butter with fork until soft dough forms.
  • 3. Remove pan from oven. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto warm peach mixture. Sprinkle with additional sugar and nutmeg.
  • 4. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until topping is light brown
