Steps:
- 1. Cake Directions:
- 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13-inch pan.
- 3. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave chocolate, margarine and water until melted. Stir occasionally until chocolate is smooth. Allow to cool to room temperature.
- 4. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt and soda. Pour in milk and eggs. Mix the cooled chocolate mixture into the batter. Pour into prepared pan.
- 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
- 6. Frosting Directions:
- 7. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in cocoa and vanilla.
- 8. Place confectioners' sugar in a large bowl. Pour in cocoa mixture. Beat well (mixture will be extremely thick).
- 9. Beat in milk, a teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is achieved.
