Beer Brats image

These are delicious and full of flavor, so even my kids love them. A very simple dish that goes great with my gold potato salad ;)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pkg bratwurst sausages
beer ( i use brown ale)
1 medium sweet onion
1/2 orange bell pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
3 Tbsp butter

Steps:

  • 1. Chop onion and peppers. Place in a dutch oven with the brats and butter. Cover with beer.
  • 2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer until brats are cooked.
  • 3. Remove brats and set aside the beer mixture. Grill brats until they get the lovely brown grill marks, then return them to the beer mixture.
  • 4. Serve brats in a good sized brat bun with spicy brown mustard, or your condiment of choice. Enjoy!
