1 cup flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
vegetable oil (for frying)

Steps:

  • Combine dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and egg. Beat till smooth. Dip thin sliced veggies into batter then deep fry. Drain on paper towel if desired.
