Banana Peach Buttermilk Smoothie image

I know alot of people turn up their nose, when they hear buttermilk, especially if it isn't being used in baking or something similar, I am the same. When my sister told me about this smoothie, I was not too thrilled, but it turns out to be very good, and doesn't have that bitter buttermilk flavor. And of course it's good for you, cultured dairy foods, like yogurt and buttermilk, keep your digestive tract healthy.

I'm allergic to dairy, so I used almond milk instead of buttermilk. It worked perfectly and the smoothie was still delicious.

This smoothie is a great way to use up ripe bananas. I always have a few bananas that are about to go bad, so this is a great way to use them up.

I made this smoothie with frozen bananas and peaches, and it was still delicious. I think it would be even better with fresh fruit, but I'm glad I was able to use what I had on hand.
