Banana Applesauce Bread image

I developed this recipe because I love homemade banana bread but wanted a recipe that didn't include oil or butter. This recipe allows me to enjoy the flavor without all the fat.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup applesauce
3 bananas, mashed

Steps:

  • Grease and flour 4 mini loaf pans. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In one bowl, whisk together flour, soda, salt, and sugar. Mix in slightly beaten eggs, applesauce, and mashed bananas. Pour into prepared pans.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
