Balsamic Spa Dressing - Bonnie Stern - Virtually Fat-Free image

This dressing has wonderful flavour with virtually no fat. Try this on a Spinach and Strawberry salad....it will blow your mind and your tastebuds. Taken from her 'Heart Smart' cookbook, she notes: "This dressing can also be made with other mild vinegars such as raspberry, sherry, Champagne or a good red wine vinegar." NOTE: after several reviews, I'm going to adjust the water amount to 1/2 - 1 cup. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. :)

I'm not a big fan of balsamic vinegar, but I actually really liked this dressing. It's not too overpowering.

This dressing is a bit too runny for my taste. I had to add some cornstarch to thicken it up.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this dressing was to make. I didn't have any shallots on hand, so I used a small onion instead. It turned out great!

This dressing is fantastic! I've tried it on salads, grilled vegetables, and even as a marinade for chicken. It's always a hit.
