Categories     Bacon

Yield 45 pieces

Number Of Ingredients 3

10 oz pitted dates
1 lb bacon (sliced in thirds)
6 oz chorizo sausage (raw casings removed)

Steps:

  • Using a scissors, cut one side of each date open and stuff with a scant teaspoon of chorizo. Wrap the stuffed date with bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake in 400 degree oven for about 15-18 minutes. Watch closely as the bottoms can burn easily due to the natural sugars in the dates.

I'm not a big fan of chorizo, but these were still really good. The bacon and dates were a great combination.

These were a bit too sweet for me. I think I'll try them again with less sugar.

I'm not sure about this recipe. The combination of bacon, chorizo, and dates seems a bit strange to me.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but these didn't turn out well for me. The bacon was too chewy and the dates were too sweet.

These were so good. I'm not usually a big fan of dates, but these were amazing. The bacon and chorizo were savory and sweet, and the dates were soft and chewy.
