Bacon-Topped Green Beans image

Dress up tender whole green beans with flavorful herbs and rich bacon for a tasty 20-minute side dish.

2 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 bag (22 oz) frozen whole green beans
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon garlic-pepper blend
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Steps:

  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet; drain on paper towel.
  • Add beans and water to skillet. Cover; cook over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beans are crisp-tender and water has evaporated.
  • Stir in garlic-pepper blend, salt, thyme and butter until beans are coated. Sprinkle with bacon.
