Bacon and Roquefort Stuffed Burgers image

This is one of our favorite hamburger recipes. You can substitute bleu, gorgonzola, or feta for the Roquefort cheese. Don't forget the American fries!

Time 45m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 ounces Roquefort or other blue cheese, crumbled
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
1 tomato, sliced
1 red onion, sliced
4 leaves lettuce

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, lightly mix the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper. Divide into 8 equal portions and flatten each one into 1/4 inch thick patty. In a separate bowl, combine the crumbled bacon, Roquefort cheese and thyme. Place an equal portion of the bacon mixture onto 4 of the patties. Top with the remaining 4 patties, pressing the edges together to enclose the filling.
  • Preheat a grill for medium heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate.
  • Grill the patties for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Serve immediately on toasted buns, topped with tomato, onion and lettuce.

These burgers were just okay. The bacon and Roquefort were good, but the burgers themselves were a bit dry. I would probably try a different recipe next time.

I would not recommend these burgers. The bacon and Roquefort were a strange combination, and the burgers were overcooked.

These burgers were good, but not great. The bacon and Roquefort were good together, but the burgers themselves were a bit bland.

The bacon and Roquefort in these burgers was a bit overpowering for my taste. I would probably use less of both next time.

These burgers were a bit dry, even though I cooked them to medium-rare. The flavor was good, but I would probably add some more moisture to the meat mixture next time.

I've made these burgers several times now and they are always a hit. My friends and family love them! They are juicy, flavorful, and the bacon and Roquefort add a nice touch of richness. I usually serve them with a side of sweet potato fries.

I love the combination of bacon and blue cheese, so I knew I would love these burgers. I wasn't disappointed! They were juicy and flavorful, and the blue cheese added a nice tang. I served them with a side of onion rings and they were perfect.

These burgers were easy to make and turned out great! I used a blend of ground chuck and ground sirloin, and they were cooked through evenly. The bacon and Roquefort were a great addition, and I would definitely make these again.

I'm not a huge fan of Roquefort cheese, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it paired with the bacon in these burgers. The smokiness of the bacon balanced out the sharpness of the cheese, and the end result was a burger that was both flavorful
