This is a mild soup that I love to make near Thanksgiving--it's easy to make, filling, but not heavy. It takes well to added spices. From the November 2000 issue of "Bon Appetit", it can be made one day ahead. I usually make an easy pasta sauce with leftover crushed tomatoes.

This bisque was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I think it needed more seasoning.

I was really looking forward to trying this recipe, but I was disappointed with the results. The bisque was too thin and lacked flavor. I won't be making it again.

I tried this recipe and found it to be a bit bland. I had to add extra spices to give it more flavor. Otherwise, the texture was good.
