Asparagus Casserole image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 c milk
2 Tbsp butter
1/8 tsp tabasco
1 c cheese, grated
1 no. 2 can green asparagus, drained
2 Tbsp flour
1/8 tsp salt
3 hard boiled eggs (sliced)
1/2 c almonds, chopped
bread crumbs, buttered

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2. Make cream sauce with flour, butter and milk.
  • 3. Add grated cheese.
  • 4. Season with salt and Tabasco.
  • 5. Alternate layers of asparagus, sliced eggs, sauce and almonds.
  • 6. Top with buttered crumbs.
  • 7. Bake at 350 degrees until heated.

This casserole was a disaster. The asparagus was overcooked and the cheese sauce was too thin.
