My mother-in-law used to make these at her cocktail parties. There were never any left. I use them even as an appetizer when entertaining just one other couple. The nice thing is that you can take out just the amount you want. Although, be careful... I have one friend that could eat them all herself! Enjoy!

Steps:
- 1. Mix together: cream cheese, lemon zest and bacon.
- 2. Cut crusts from 20 slices of Pepperidge Farm bread; roll flat.
- 3. Spread cheese mixture on bread. Lay stalk of asparagus on each and roll up. Secure with toothpick if necessary.
- 4. Brush top with melted butter and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Put in freezer until frozen.
- 5. When using, partially thaw. Slice each roll into 3 equal pieces. Bake at 375 degrees 15 minutes.
- 6. Serve WARM.
