Steps:
- In a large bowl, dissolve candies in the boiling water. Add gelatin and stir until dissolved. Stir in applesauce and transfer to a 8" square glass dish and chill until set (at least 4-5 hours). Slice and serve chilled add a dollop of sweetened whip cream if desired. For use in a mold you may wish to add some unflavored gelatin to ensure it takes shape.
