Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Sift flour, adding baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift again.
- Add chopped nuts, mix well, set aside.
- Melt butter, add brown sugar and mix well.
- Add egg and vanilla, blend well.
- Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing well.
- Stir in white chocolate chips.
- Spread into a sprayed 9 inch square pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For Maple Butter Sauce:.
- While blondie is baking you can prepare this.
- Combine syrup, butter, and cream cheese in a small saute pan and heat on low heat until everything is melted.
- Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
- Add walnuts if desired.
- NOTE: if you like a lot of sauce you may double this sauce recipe!
- Serve this sauce over finished blondie with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!
