Sweet pizzas are a long standing tradition in Italy, so why not enjoy them here? Frozen pizza dough is rather soft and delicate, well suited to take the place of pie crust. Thinly slicing the apples and baking the dough in a very hot oven makes this dessert a quick fix.Unknown Source

Number Of Ingredients 6

butter for greasing pan
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 lb. frozen pizza dough, thawed
3 large granny smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/8 inch thick slices
2 tbsp. unsalted butter

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 500. Grease bottom of a 16 x 11 inch rimmed baking sheet with butter. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • 2. Press and stretch dough evenly into roughly 11 inch round on prepared baking sheet, then fold the edge inward 1/2 inch to create a lip. If the dough resists at first, let it rest for a minute and then continue. Arrange apples in rows on top of the pizza, overlapping them. Sprinkle all over with cinnamon sugar. Dot apple with bits of butter.
  • 3. Bake pizza til underside of dough is golden (you can lift up pizza with a metal spatula and take a peek) and apples are soft, about 15 minutes. Cut into 6 wedges and serve warm. Serves 6

I'm not a big fan of apples, but this pizza was surprisingly delicious. The goat cheese and honey really balanced out the tartness of the apples. I would definitely recommend this recipe to anyone who is looking for a unique and flavorful pizza.

The pizza was delicious! The crust was crispy and the apples were perfectly tender. The goat cheese and honey added a nice touch of sweetness and savoriness. I will definitely be making this again.

This pizza was a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I would have preferred it with less honey. Other than that, it was a good recipe.
