Yield Makes 1 loaf

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup (5 1/3 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped golden Delicious apples
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, the sugar, the baking powder, and the salt, making a well in the center. Set aside. Stir in the liquid ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix. Gently stir in the apples and the pecans. Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a cake tester inserted into center of loaf comes out with moist crumbs attached. Do not overbake.

I can't wait to try this recipe with different fruits, like blueberries or raspberries.

I baked the bread for an extra 10 minutes, and it came out perfectly golden brown.

This bread is a bit too sweet for my taste. I'll try reducing the amount of sugar next time.

I used a combination of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp apples. The different flavors were a nice touch.

I'm allergic to nuts, so I omitted the pecans. The bread was still delicious.

I didn't have any pecans on hand, so I used walnuts instead. They worked just as well.

The bread turned out a little too dense for my taste, but the flavor was still good.

This bread is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. It's also great for freezing, so I can always have some on hand.

I love how easy this recipe is to follow. I'm not a very experienced baker, but I was able to make this bread without any problems.

This apple pecan quick bread is incredibly moist and flavorful! The apples and pecans add a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch. I highly recommend this recipe.
