APPLE PECAN BREAD image

Yield 1 9x5" loaf

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs, well beaten
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 Large Apple, cored and diced
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375F. Grease and flour a 9x5" loaf pan. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and apples. Mix well. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine with wet ingredients. Pour into prepared pan. Top with nuts. Bake about 50 minutes until bread tests done. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
