Apple Dumplings image

By far one of the simplest apple recipes ever! Oh! and the flavor is just over the top! I shared this recipe with my friends on Facebook last year, and everyone loved it! So, I thought I would share it with y'all. Enjoy!

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored & quartered
1 can(s) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 c orange juice
1 c sugar or splenda
1 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Simmer together in a small saucepan orange juice, sugar, butter & vanilla until warm. Separate rolls. Roll each apple quarter in a crescent roll and place in 13 x 9 baking dish. Pour orange juice mixture over all of it. Bake for 40 minutes. Enjoy!
  • 2. Note: It would seem that there is too much liquid when you pour it in the pan prior to baking; trust me, it will be fine!

These strudels were a disappointment. The filling was bland and the crust was tough.
