Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 375.
- 2. Measure the water into a small bowl.
- 3. Sprinkle yeast on top.
- 4. Stir until dissolved.
- 5. Cream butter thoroughly in a large electric mixing bowl.
- 6. Gradually add the sugar and salt.
- 7. Cream together.
- 8. Add the yeast mixture, eggs and milk and beat at medium speed until well blended.
- 9. Gradually add and blend in the flour while beating at medium speed; beat until the mixture is well blended.
- 10. Spread the batter in a well-greased 9x9\" pan.
- 11. Arrange Apple Crumb Topping over dough.
- 12. Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from draft, until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
- 13. Bake in 375 oven for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- 14. Turn out of pan and cool on a wire rack.
- 15. Apple Crumb Topping: Arrange sliced apples on the dough.
- 16. Combine the remaining ingredients and mix until crumbly.
- 17. Sprinkle over apples.
