Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Make crust: cream together butter and sugar. Add flour and mix well. Press into bottom and 1 1/4 inches up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan Make cheesecake filling: mix together cream cheese and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla and blend well. Spoon mixture into crust. Make apple topping: core, peel and thinly slice apples. Arrange apple slices on cooie sheet. Combine sugar and cinnamon, mix in a bowl with apple slices just enough to coat. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bke another 25 minutes. Let cool 3 to 4 hours before serving.
