Apple Butter Sauce image

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 cups canned applesauce
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons grated orange rind
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Combine the applesauce, orange rind, cloves, brown sugar, all spice, nutmeg and cinnamon in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cool and serve.
