Ann Lander's Meat Loaf image

Was still going through Mom's recipe box and came across this one. I remember it from the 60's or maybe early 70's. Mom's sister had written it on a card and given it to her.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 lb ground round steak
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c plain bread crumbs
3/4 c ketchup
1 tsp accent
1/2 c warm water
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
2 strips bacon
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Thoroughly mix all ingredients (except bacon and tomato sauce) and place in a loaf pan.
  • 3. Cover with bacon strips to flavor if you like.
  • 4. Pour tomato sauce over all.
  • 5. Bake for 1 hour.
