This recipe comes from an old cookbook called "Miss Cameron's Cookery Book" , also from the 1800's. Directions have been slightly changed to reflect food safety measures.

12 oysters
1/2 lb bacon
12 slice toasted bread

Steps:

  • 1. Roll each oyster in a thin slice of bacon.
  • 2. Bake at 350 until bacon and oyster are cooked through.
  • 3. Serve on toasted bread.
