We used to get this from a Amish lady in Moberly MO. Then she was nice enough to give us the recipe. It is light and bubbly and wonderful.

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 c sugar
1 c white corn syrup
1/2 c water
1 Tbsp butter
2 c raw peanuts
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda/heaping

Steps:

  • 1. Put first 3 ingredients in a large pan. Boil until hard ball stage. Then add in the butter and peanuts. Cook until it is golden in color. Remove from the heat. Add in the vanilla and soda. As soon as you do this it will start bubbling. Mix it fast then pour it onto a well greased cookie sheet. Do Not Spread it out, or it will not be as light and fluffy.
