Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1.2 lb honeysuckle white 99% fat free ground turkey
1 large egg
1 Tbsp less sodium worcestershire sauce
1/2 c italian seasoned panko bread crumbs
1/2 - 1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp mrs. dash original
2 Tbsp ketchup

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 and line a baking pan with foil
  • 2. In a medium bowl mix together the ground turkey, egg, and Worcestershire (I actually find that hands are the best mixing tool in this recipe!)
  • 3. Add in seasonings and bread crumbs.
  • 4. Mix until combined
  • 5. Spray foil lined baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the big ball of meat in the middle and form it into a rectangle.
  • 6. Spread the ketchup over the top. Note: Experiment with toppings here! I've used tomato sauce, pesto, and garlic butter before and it came out yummy each time!
  • 7. Optional: place vegetables around meatloaf in pan
  • 8. Place in preheated oven and cook for 20-25 minutes. Meat thermometer should read at least 160°F when inserted in the middle.
  • 9. Slice and enjoy!

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my meatloaf didn't turn out very well. It was dry and crumbly.

This meatloaf was a bit too dense for my liking. I think I'll try using a different recipe next time.

I've made this meatloaf several times now, and it's always a winner. It's a great way to use up leftover turkey, and it's also a healthier alternative to traditional beef meatloaf.
