1/2 c (1 stick) plus 6 tbsps. of butter flavored crisco (softened)
3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla flavor
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
3 c quaker oats (quick) old fasion or uncooked
1 c raisins
1/2 c black walnuts
1/4 c applesauce (unsweetened)
AGGIES OATMEAL WALNUT RAISIN COOKIES

Steps:

  • 1. 1.HEAT OVEN TO 350o F. IN A LARGE BOWL, BEAT CRISCO, AND SUGARS ON MEDIUM SPEED WITH AN ELECTRIC MIXER UNTIL CREAMY. 2. ADD EGGS AND VANILLA; BEAT WELL.
  • 2. 3. ADD COMBINED FLOUR, BAKING SODA,CINNAMON AND SALT. MIX WELL. 4. ADD OATS , APPLESAUCE, RAISINS AND BLACK WALNUTS. MIX WELL 5. DROP DOUGH BY ROUNDED SPOONFULS INTO THE PALM OF YOUR HAND. ROLL INTO BALL. PLACE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET. DO NOT PRESS.
  • 3. 6. BAKE 8 TO 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHT GOLDEN BROWN. COOL ONE MINUTE ON COOKIE SHEET; REMOVE TO WIRE RACK. COOL COMPLETELY. STORE TIGHTLY COVERED. MAKES ABOUT 4 DOZEN COOKIES FOR BAR COOKIES:.....BAKE 30 TO 40 MINUTES IN UNGREASED 13x 9-INCH BAKING PAN. NOTE;....THESE COOKIES ARE FABULOUS
