I love using my crock pot for those nights when I know I won't have time to make dinner, but I want to have dinner ready when someone walks through the door! When I made of this recipe, it just reminded me of Fall, thus the name!

I love the addition of apples to this stew. They add a touch of sweetness and tartness that really complements the pork. I also like that this recipe uses dark beer. It gives the stew a rich, malty flavor.

This stew is a great way to use up leftover pork. I usually make a big batch of pulled pork on the weekend and then use the leftovers to make this stew during the week. It's a quick and easy meal that's always delicious.
