1 box 20-ounce raisin bran cereal
3 cups sugar
5 cups flour
5 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 quart buttermilk
1 cup salad oil
3 tablespoons vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup honey
2 cups chopped nuts
2 cups dried cranberries (3/4 pound)
1 cup dried apricots chopped (1/2 pound)
1 cup chopped dates (optional)
3/4 cup pumpkin butter (optional)

Steps:

  • Beat eggs, sugar, pumpkin butter, honey, vanilla and almond extract, and oil. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and buttermilk. Add cereal then nuts, berries, apricots, and dates.
