Categories     main-dish

Yield 4 to 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 tablespoons Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1- (2 pound) boneless pork loin end roast
1/4 cup olive oil, divided
1 cup brown sugar
3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into small dice
1/2 cup Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Dressing

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Rub the Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix all over the pork loin. Season with the pepper. Let rest at room temperature for up to 2 hours. Add 2 tablespoons oil to a large (12-inch) ovenproof saute pan and, just when the oil begins to swirl, add the pork loin and sear on all sides until golden, about 3 minutes each side. Remove to a plate. Toss the potatoes in the oil left in the pan. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and remaining 2 tablespoons oil. Rub into the pork on all sides. Then place back into the pan and into the oven and surround with the sweet potatoes. Bake, stirring the sweet potatoes once or twice, until the pork is cooked through and the sweet potatoes are softened, about 40 minutes for medium. Remove the meat to a cutting board and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Skim off the excess fat from the pan. Toss the sweet potatoes with the Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing. Keep warm until ready to serve.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Look for ribs that are meaty and have a good amount of marbling. Avoid ribs that are thin or have a lot of bones.
  • Prepare the ribs properly: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim off any excess fat.
  • Use a good rub: The rub is what will give the ribs their flavor, so make sure to use a rub that you like. This recipe uses a simple ranch-flavored rub, but you can use any rub that you like.
  • Cook the ribs low and slow: Ribs need to be cooked low and slow in order to become tender. The ideal cooking temperature is between 225 and 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Baste the ribs regularly: Basting the ribs will help to keep them moist and flavorful. Use a brush to baste the ribs with the cooking juices every 30 minutes or so.
  • Let the ribs rest before serving: Once the ribs are cooked, let them rest for at least 10 minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the ribs.

Conclusion:

Ranch-rubbed pork ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. Be sure to follow these tips to ensure that your ribs turn out perfect every time. Enjoy!
