ROASTED POTATO WEDGES

Roasted Potato Wedges image

Categories     side-dish

Time 35m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 russet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 8 long wedges
3 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F.
  • Toss the potato wedges with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Lay the potatoes on a baking sheet and cook until golden brown on each side, flipping halfway through, about 12 minutes per side. When both sides are golden and the potatoes can be pierced easily with a fork, the taters are done.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: For this recipe, it's best to use a variety of small, colorful potatoes, such as fingerlings, baby potatoes, or new potatoes. These potatoes cook evenly and hold their shape well.
  • Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly: This will help the olive oil and seasonings adhere to the potatoes and give them a crispy exterior.
  • Use a variety of seasonings: Don't be afraid to experiment with different herbs and spices. Some good options include rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Toss the potatoes in olive oil before roasting: This will help them brown and crisp up in the oven.
  • Roast the potatoes at a high temperature: This will help them caramelize and develop a delicious crispy exterior.
  • Serve the potatoes immediately: They're best enjoyed hot out of the oven, so serve them as soon as they're done roasting.

Conclusion:

Rainbow potato roast is a delicious and colorful side dish that's perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a simple but flavorful side dish, give this recipe a try!
