QUICK WHITE SANGRIA

Time 20m

Yield 6 to 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 cup brandy
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 pint fresh raspberries
Two 750-milliliter bottles red wine
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 cinnamon stick
2 cups coconut water, chilled
1 small Fuji apple, cored and diced
1 small Granny Smith apple, cored and diced 1 tangerine, cut into thin rounds

Steps:

  • Combine the brandy, sugar and half of the raspberries in a medium saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the red wine, vinegar and cinnamon stick and cook until the wine reduces by half, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl set over a bowl of ice to chill it quickly. Once the wine is cool, stir in the coconut water, apples and tangerine slices. Discard the cinnamon stick. If too strong, add some cold water.

Tips:

  • Choose the right wine: Red wine is traditional, but you can also use white or rosé. Avoid wines that are too sweet or have a high alcohol content.
  • Use fresh fruit: The fresher the fruit, the better your sangria will be. Choose fruits that are in season and that have a good flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: There are many different ways to make sangria. You can add different fruits, spices, and herbs to create your own unique recipe.
  • Make it ahead of time: Sangria is best when it has had time to chill and meld. Make it a few hours or even a day before you plan to serve it.
  • Serve it cold: Sangria is traditionally served chilled. You can serve it over ice or in a chilled glass.

Conclusion:

Sangria is a refreshing and flavorful drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. With a little creativity, you can create a sangria that is sure to impress your friends and family.
