Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 14

2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sesame oil, divided
1 ½ pounds boneless pork chops, cut into stir-fry strips
1 red bell pepper, diced
½ onion, diced
1 (12 ounce) package frozen stir-fry vegetables
1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Whisk soy sauce, cider vinegar, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, garlic, and salt together in a large glass or ceramic bowl until marinade is smooth. Tips:

  • Choose high-quality pork: For the best results, use pork that is fresh and has a good amount of marbling. This will help to ensure that the pork is tender and flavorful.
  • Use a sharp knife: When slicing the pork, use a sharp knife to ensure that you get clean, even slices. This will help to ensure that the pork cooks evenly.
  • Marinate the pork: Marinating the pork in a mixture of soy sauce, ginger, and garlic will help to add flavor and tenderize the meat. You can marinate the pork for as little as 30 minutes or for up to overnight.
  • Cook the pork over high heat: When cooking the pork, be sure to cook it over high heat. This will help to sear the pork and lock in the flavor.
  • Don't overcook the pork: Pork is a relatively lean meat, so it is important to not overcook it. Overcooked pork will be tough and dry.
  • Serve the pork immediately: Once the pork is cooked, serve it immediately with your favorite sides. Ginger pork is a delicious and versatile dish that can be served with rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Ginger pork is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover pork. The combination of ginger, garlic, and soy sauce gives the pork a delicious and savory flavor. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
