Tips:

  • Use a good quality bread: French toast casserole is only as good as the bread you use. Look for a sturdy bread that will hold up to the custard and cooking process. Brioche, challah, or French bread are all good options.
  • Don't overcrowd the casserole dish: If you overcrowd the dish, the French toast will not cook evenly. Make sure there is enough room for the bread to spread out and cook on all sides.
  • Use a moderate oven temperature: Cooking the French toast casserole at too high of a temperature will cause it to overcook and dry out. Bake the casserole at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the custard is set.
  • Make sure the custard is fully absorbed: Before baking the casserole, make sure the custard has been fully absorbed by the bread. This will help the French toast to be evenly cooked and moist.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: French toast casserole is delicious served with a variety of toppings. Some popular options include butter, syrup, fresh berries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar.

Conclusion:

French toast casserole is a delicious and easy breakfast or brunch dish that is perfect for a crowd. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a casserole that is sure to please everyone at the table.
