- Arrange apples in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon; set aside 1 tablespoon. - 1. Preheat oven at 375* Lightly grease and flour 9 inch baking pan.
- 2. In bowl cream Oil, sugar, and eggs, beat after each addition. Add flour and baking soda, and salt, add vanilla, you can add the apples to the mix or spread apples on top and press apples into mixture. I prefer the apples on top, sprinkle with nutmeg on top.

- Mix 1 1/4 cup flour, baking powder, 2 tsp sugar, and salt and sift once.
