Tips:

  • Prep the Ingredients: Before starting, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature. This allows them to blend smoothly and evenly.
  • Use Fresh Pumpkin Puree: For the best flavor and texture, use fresh pumpkin puree instead of canned. Simply roast a pumpkin, scoop out the flesh, and blend it until smooth.
  • Don't Overmix: Overmixing the batter can result in tough and dense bars. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Properly Grease and Flour the Pan: To prevent the bars from sticking, grease the baking pan and dust it with flour before pouring in the batter.
  • Bake Until a Toothpick Inserted in the Center Comes Out Clean: This ensures that the bars are fully cooked through but still moist.
  • Let the Bars Cool Completely Before Cutting: This allows them to set properly and prevents them from crumbling when sliced.
