Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken: Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs are best for this recipe. They cook quickly and evenly in the pressure cooker.
  • Use a good quality Greek yogurt: The yogurt adds richness and creaminess to the chicken. Look for a yogurt that is thick and tangy.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: The chicken should be cooked through but still juicy. Overcooked chicken will be dry and tough.
  • Let the chicken rest before shredding: This will help the chicken retain its juices.
  • Use a sharp knife to shred the chicken: This will make it easier to get evenly shredded chicken.
  • Toast the pita bread before serving: This will give the pita bread a nice crispy texture.
  • Serve the chicken gyros with your favorite toppings: Some popular toppings include tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce.

Conclusion:

This pressure cooker shredded chicken gyros recipe is an easy and delicious way to make a classic Greek dish. The chicken is cooked quickly and evenly in the pressure cooker, and the yogurt marinade adds a rich and tangy flavor. Serve the chicken gyros with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
