3 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c chopped peeled granny smith apples
1/2 c butter
1/2 c packed brown sugar

  • 3. In a saucepan, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil. Cook and stir for 1 minute. Spoon over bread. Sprinkle with remaining pecans.

Tips:

  • Use the right apples. Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples are ideal for this recipe, as they hold their shape well and have a tart flavor that complements the sweet praline topping.
