1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 pouch (6.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ golden corn muffin and bread mix
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until brown; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until boiling; keep warm.
  • In small bowl, stir corn bread mix, milk, oil and egg just until moistened (batter will be lumpy).
  • Spoon hot beef mixture into 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup of the cheese. Spoon corn bread batter evenly over top.
  • Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of topping comes out clean. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup cheese over hot casserole.

½ onion, diced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 (24 ounce) jar Sloppy Joe sauce
4 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 (32 ounce) package frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1/2 teaspoon pre minced garlic
2 cups instant mashed potatoes (see note in prep area)
1/4 cup sour cream
1 egg, beaten
2 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

1 small onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 pound 93 percent lean ground turkey
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces)

Steps:

  • Pierce the potatoes in a few places with a fork; place on a microwave-safe plate and microwave until tender, turning once, about 15 minutes. Set aside.
  • Meanwhile, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, carrot and celery and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 7 minutes.
