PORTUGUESE CHORIZO PIZZA
This is an Emeril Lagasse recipe for some great pizza with a Portuguese influence. Upon researching, I found that chorizo is commonly used in both Portugul and the Azores Islands. This pizza is hand-formed and meant to be very rustic. Enjoy!

My mom always made pizza with chourico growing up and I loved it. I have redone it and added more protein - chicken! I love homemade pizza.

Tips:
- To make the perfect pizza dough, use active dry yeast and let it rise in a warm place for at least an hour.
- For a crispy crust, preheat your oven to the highest temperature possible before baking the pizza.
- Use a pizza stone or baking sheet to bake the pizza. This will help to create a crispy crust.
- Don't overload the pizza with toppings. Too many toppings will make the pizza soggy.
