1 bay leaf
6 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup heavy cream

1 onion, finely chopped
3 cups hot vegetable stock
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup sour cream
