MAPLE BAKED PORK LOIN ROAST

Maple Baked Pork Loin Roast image

This is a GREAT recipe. Do not let the ingredients scare you, they combine to make a really great taste. The pork is so moist and tender that it will fall apart when you go to cut it. I find it comes out best with the loin that has two sections. If it is a single loin, it still comes out great, but does not fall apart quite so much. Everyone who tries this loves it so far. It's my husband's favorite and very easy to make. It cooks for 1 hr 45 min - 2 hrs.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 tablespoon canola oil
1 (4 pound) boneless pork loin roast
salt and pepper to taste
all-purpose flour for dredging
¾ cup maple syrup
¾ cup ketchup
⅓ cup water
1 tablespoon minced garlic

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  • Place onto a large sheet of aluminum foil set on top of a baking sheet; set aside. Stir together the maple syrup, ketchup, water, and garlic. Pour 3/4 of this sauce over the pork. Fold the foil over the pork, and seal to form a packet.

Tips:

  • Pork loin roast can readily be substituted for the pork shoulder roast if it's more to your liking. It will cook proportionally faster, so be sure to reduce the cooking time.
  • Use quality maple syrup for the best flavor. Grade A Amber Color is the choice of most chefs.
  • If you can't find maple syrup, you can substitute honey or brown sugar.
  • Add a bit of maple flavor to the vegetables by tossing them with maple syrup before roasting.
  • Be sure to preheat the oven before roasting the pork and vegetables.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork is cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Let the pork roast rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing it.
  • Serve the pork roast with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or roasted Brussels sprouts.

Conclusion:

Pork roast with goat cheese and maple sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The pork is tender and juicy, the goat cheese adds a creamy and tangy flavor, and the maple sauce is sweet and savory. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
