3 slices bacon
3 tablespoons chopped onions
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon catsup

Steps:

  • Brown bacon and onion.

  • Browning the pork: Before adding the pork to the slow cooker, brown it in a skillet over medium-high heat. This step helps develop flavor and color.
  • Choosing the right beans: You can use any type of beans you like in this recipe, but pinto beans, navy beans, or great northern beans are popular choices.
  • Adding vegetables: Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the slow cooker along with the pork and beans. Some good options include carrots, celery, onions, and bell peppers.
  • Cooking time: The cooking time will vary depending on the size of your pork roast and the type of beans you are using. However, as a general rule, cook the pork and beans on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
