Tips:

  • To ensure the pork chops are cooked evenly, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. The chops should reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, 155 degrees Fahrenheit for medium, and 165 degrees Fahrenheit for well done.
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can also check the doneness of the pork chops by cutting into the thickest part of the chop. The meat should be slightly pink in the center for medium-rare, and no longer pink for medium and well done.
  • Be careful not to overcook the pork chops, as they can become dry and tough. If you're unsure whether the chops are done, it's always better to err on the side of caution and cook them for a shorter amount of time.
  • To make the horseradish-maple glaze, be sure to use fresh horseradish root. Grated horseradish from a jar will not have the same flavor or pungency.
  • If you don't have maple syrup, you can substitute another type of sweetener, such as honey or brown sugar.
  • To save time, you can marinate the pork chops in the horseradish-maple glaze overnight. This will help the flavors to penetrate the meat and make the chops even more delicious.

Conclusion:

Pork chops with horseradish-maple glaze are a flavorful and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The chops are juicy and tender, and the glaze is sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
