Pork Chops in Simple Garlic Sauce As I Like It! image

This is very simple meal. It is similar to some other Croatian recipes (like Samobor pork chops) with difference: you can do it just in a frying pan. The sauce has not very garlic taste and should not have.

salt
1/4 teaspoon peppercorn (black, grounded)
1/2 liter meat stock

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality pork chops: Opt for bone-in pork chops as they tend to be more flavorful and juicy.
  • Brine the pork chops: Brining helps tenderize the meat and adds flavor. You can use a simple brine made with water, salt, and sugar.
  • Season the pork chops generously: Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to season the pork chops. You can also add other spices and herbs, such as paprika, cumin, or thyme.
  • Sear the pork chops: Searing creates a flavorful crust and helps lock in the juices. Sear the pork chops over medium-high heat for a few minutes per side.
  • Cook the pork chops to the desired doneness: The internal temperature of the pork chops should reach 145°F for medium-rare, 155°F for medium, and 165°F for well-done.
  • Let the pork chops rest: After cooking, let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful pork chop.
